I’ve previously worked with William H Bartsch per aircraft research for him per his Philippines books per “8th December 1941, McArthur’s Pearl harbor, and Everyday a Nightmare (About Provisional Pursuit Pilots in Java and Australia 1942). Currently bill is editing his last book,…(he’s over 90 now) per Project x the 7th and 19th BG in Java (then Netherlands East Indies) and Australia Dec 41 -March 42. That leads into,… Just advising you that 2nd Lt William R Hogg O-421704 was Co-pilot of B-17E 41-2482 was lost in ditching at sea 07 Feb 42 with 8 others during ferry flight under Project X crossing the Atlantic ex Natal, Brazil to land in Africa then onwards to the Far East in Java. Also, per your records the Skipper and Pilot of the B-17E was 2nd Lt John B Rush O-387810 (Which you also list). Both were members of the 43rd Bomb Group Based at Langley AAF. Data Reference is USAF AHRA Microfilm REEL 46075 pages 1146 to 1149. Copies of these can be forwarded as .jpeg files as evidential if you provide me with a email address for details and rest of crew.
