  1. Staff Sergeant Percy L Scott Jr., Indiana, Service Number 35143723, flew a tail gunner on B-17s with the 4th Bomb Squadron, 34th Bomb Group. He was killed in action on a mission to Bad Kreuznach, Germany, 2 Jan 1945, in B-17 #43-38292, called “Conga Babe”. Scott’s bomber was critically damaged by heavy flak and crashed in Eggenstedt, Germany, killing all on board.

    Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Purple Heart.
