Though I never knew my uncle’s John and Walter Doherty I admired them very much they both died horribly on December 7th 1941 both were survived by their brother Robert almost lost his life aboard the USS belleau wood which was attacked by kamikaze Robert survived the attack live to the age of 76 is survived by his son’s Dale and Glen both living today I have deep respect for all the Doherty Brothers all three heroes
