Theothis Collins, age 18, from Asbury Park, New Jersey.

Death details: Lance Corporal Theothis Collins, who joined the U.S. Marine Corps from New Jersey, was a member of Company F of the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division. On August 19, 1968, he was on a patrol in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam, when an explosive device went off directly under where he was walking. He was killed instantly, and the nature of his loss made his remains unrecoverable. Today, Lance Corporal Collins is memorialized on the Courts of the Missing at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
