Death details: Died in the South China Sea when his Patrol Squadron Six Aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff. His flight was supposed to help with surveillance of the South Vietnam coast, but it crashed beause the airple’s water-alcohol injection sytstem was serviced with the wrong fluid.
