Death details: On December 4, 1996, the U.S. Army Central Identification Laboratory-Hawaii (CILHI, now DPAA) identified the remains of Corporal Lawrence J. Leboeuf, missing from the Korean War. Corporal Leboeuf entered the U.S. Army from Louisiana and served in Company G, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was reported missing on November 1, 1950, while fighting the enemy near Unsan, North Korea. CPL Leboeuf died at some point following his disappearance, but the details of his loss are unknown. His remains were recovered and identified in 1996.
