Death details: 

On February 22, 1990, the Central Identification Laboratory-Hawaii (CILHI, now DPAA) identified the remains of Chief Warrant Officer Martin Dahlberg Vanden Eykel, missing from the Vietnam War.

CWO Vanden Eykel joined the U.S. Army from Illinois and was a member of the 129th Aviation Company. On December 2, 1969, he was the aircraft commander of a UH-1B Iroquois on a fire support mission for a long-range reconnaissance patrol in Binh Dinh Province, Vietnam. The aircraft crashed during the mission, and CWO Vanden Eykel was killed in the incident. His remains could not be immediately recovered. In January 1989, the Vietnamese government repatriated a set of remains that forensic analysis identified as those of CWO Vanden Eykel.

William Charles Dunlap, age 23, from Arizona, Pima county.

Death details: On February 22, 1990, the Central Identification Laboratory-Hawaii (CILHI, now DPAA) identified the remains of Chief Warrant Officer William Charles Dunlap, missing from the Vietnam War. CWO Dunlap joined the U.S. Army from Arkansas and was a member of the 129th Aviation Company. On December 2, 1969, he was the copilot aboard a UH-1B Iroquois on a fire support mission for a long-range reconnaissance patrol in Binh Dinh Province, Vietnam. The aircraft crashed during the mission, and CWO Dunlap was killed in the incident. His remains could not be immediately recovered. In January 1989, the Vietnamese government repatriated a set of remains that U.S. analysts identified as those of CWO Dunlap. Chief Warrant Officer Dunlap is memorialized on the Courts of the Missing at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

Staff Sergeant Sanderlin joined the U.S. Army from Texas and was a member of the 129th Aviation Company. On December 2, 1969, he was crew chief aboard a UH-1B Iroquois on a fire support mission for a long-range reconnaissance patrol in Binh Dinh Province, Vietnam. The aircraft crashed during the mission, and SSG Sanderlin was killed during the incident. His remains could not be immediately recovered. In January 1989, the Vietnamese government returned a set of remains to U.S. custody that forensic analysis identified as those of SSG Sanderlin. Staff Sergeant Sanderlin is memorialized on the Courts of the Missing at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

Sergeant First Class Shanley joined the U.S. Army from California and was a member of the 129th Aviation Company. On December 2, 1969, he was a gunner aboard a UH-1B Iroquois on a fire support mission for a long-range reconnaissance patrol in Binh Dinh Province, Vietnam. The aircraft crashed during the mission, and SFC Shanley was killed in the incident. His remains could not be immediately recovered. In January 1989, the Vietnamese government returned a set of remains that forensic analysis identified as those of SFC Shanley. Sergeant First Class Shanley is memorialized on the Courts of the Missing at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
