Death details: He was in a vehicle convoy that was ambushed near Long Khanh, Vietnam. The enemy assaulted the convoy with small arms, automatic weapons, and rocket-propelled grenades. Stanley positioned his disabled vehicle between the convoy and enemy and returned fire.
