Pvt. Millen was killed August 7th 1944, Mayenne France (Southern Flank of the Falaise Gap). He had been awarded The Silver Star for Gallantry in Action June 6th 1944, D-Day Omaha Beach, Normandy France, 2 Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart, and other decorations. He was a front line medic with the 1st US Army, 16th Infantry, Medical Detachment, and was 20 years of age when he was killed in action.
